The Road Less Traveled ...
I am reading this book, actually i have been reading it for the the last month or so. Generally i finish a book in 1 or 2 days, but i liked this book so much that i wanted it to sink in slowly.
Often when i am sitting for interviews - one of the tasks i focus on is how to get past the upper mask of the person. Somebody who seems really sharp could be a total loser when it comes to work
And somebody who is so nervous that he makes you nervous, could be a tremendous talent. I've had this experience often - and luckily a couple of the best people we have here - had the worst interview, but still showed some little spark ...
In the Road less traveled, there is often a talk about how your childhood affects your adult life. So if parents listen to their child when he is young - make that child feel valuable about himself. This child will go on and say more valuable things ... On the other hand parents who ignore their children make them feel less confident about themselves. These people are the shy people who are always holding things back ... wondering is what they are saying is good enough!
There is so much talk about how much the parents affect the life of the kids - it would scare most people away from having any babies ! ;-)
